- Personally, I don't see the problem with Control-A (I don't see much use in it
- anyway), but I do agree it is quite easy to miss the Control and get Ctrl-A
- instead....
-
- Anyway, The problem seems to be people erasing the lot after the Ctrl-A has
- highlighted the whole lot. Firstly, it may be because the program uses a
- Windows style approach and erases the entire block. I definately do not like
- this idea as it is very easy to hit another key accidentally..... There are
- other influences other than the user as well - my cat (bless her) used to sleep
- on the power pack region of my old ST (well, it was nice and warm!) and once
- or twice her foot slipped on to the function keys.....
-
- Secondly, I think a normal key is dangerous to erase work, so I think a
- modifier is essential when deleting a block as a safeguard... So something
- like Ctrl-Delete to erase a block?? (Haven't got Ofir's list in front of me
- right now, so I can't check if it's already used or not).
